Jen’s current goals are a double body weight deadlift and 9+ on the bleep test, under the larger goal of general health, fitness and strength improvements. I train her in her yard in Shadwell.
The session started with some kosack squats and single leg RDLs. Movement focus prepping for deadlifts. High reps, 3 x 10 for each supersetted to keep the session moving quickly, with low load to focus on the quality of the movement.
Today’s deadlift was 4 X 6 at 87kg. Coming towards the end of 6s soon. Slight rounding in her back, which is something we’re working on with coaching cues and upper back stregthening.
Some upper body work with flyes and bent rows. 3 x 12 on the flyes and 3 x 8 on the rows.
Sprints (long ones) to finish. No rest just a steady jog 1:3 work(sprint):rest(jog) ratio.
She finished with some core work after I left, hopefully!
